Dawn Davis, Director of Finance

Dawn Davis is our “jack of trades” as she is graced with the ability to do many things well.  She was a teenaged mother who used her strength and perseverance to accomplish much.  During her career as a police officer, she received an accommodation for her dedication to the police force by saving the life of a woman in her jurisdiction.  She has worked for the Internal Revenue Service and is currently a supervisor for legal assistants at a Baltimore law firm.  Most recently, Dawn has earned her B.A. degree and is currently pursuing her Masters in Business Administration.

In having to balance her many duties, Dawn has developed excellent organizational skills.  These skills have enabled her to plan and oversee major events such as career fairs, holiday extravaganzas and group vacations for hundreds of people.  In early 2007, Dawn chaired a committee organizing “Community Helping Community Day” at a local college.  Dawn single-handedly secured the Chief Judge of Maryland’s courts as the keynote speaker.  She also identified families in need of assistance and orchestrated a giving campaign to the families commensurate with the event. 

She has earned the respect of professors, colleagues, friends and family due to her diligence and commitment to excellence. In the midst of being a great wife, mother, employee, and student, Dawn has always had an entrepreneurial spirit.  She has had her own daycare, vending, and designer gift basket businesses. She gains her support and inspiration from her husband, Charles and 3 beautiful children.
